The Rotary Club of Manila Supreme 198 celebrated a momentous occasion during its 10th Governor's Visit for Rotary Year 2026–2027 under the leadership of Impact Creating President (ICP) Leslie Tan Rivera. This special gathering held profound significance as the club proudly welcomed home its very own District Governor Maria Rosa "Bing" Carrion.
The event featured a comprehensive program highlighting the club's commitment to Rotary International's mission of creating lasting impact through service, transparency, and strategic vision.
Formal proceedings commenced with an invocation lead by Rtn. Richard Santos, national and Rotary anthems, the Rotarian Pledge led by Rtn. Albert Galang, and the Four-Way Test recited by Rtn. Ralph Emerson Rivera. IPP Jayar Ipac delivered the welcome address, followed by executive and club officer acknowledgments by DS Ricky Ongchan and Chair Gerilyn Ignacio.
Club Highlights & Foundation Report – Leaders presented key progress reports across administration (PP Mari Delos Santos), youth initiatives (PDRR Nikki Parlade), club projects (Rtn. Cherry Dimaculangan, Rtn. Princess Rivera, Chair Melinda Go), finances and foundation giving (CT Lourdes Galang, PP Catalina Bagsic), public image (PP Glenn Leonardo), and major commitments including ICP Leslie Tan Rivera’s report on the Governor's 12-Point Challenge and PE Rafael Hernandez’s presentation on the "5000 Homes for 5000 Families in 5 Years" project.
The Execom's Hour – An interactive open forum allowed for dynamic district engagement, followed by a ceremonial presentation of appreciation.
Closing Ceremonies & Fellowship – The event concluded with closing remarks from Rtn. Melinda Go, adjournment, and a warm Rotary fellowship photo session.
A major milestone of the visit was the official signing of the Major Gift Donor form by Vice President and President-Elect Rafael Hernandez, formalizing his commitment to become the club's 2nd Arch Klumph Society (AKS) Member. This momentous contribution underscores the extraordinary generosity and dedication driving the club's philanthropic mission.
